We’ve written many articles on our site about government abuse of children and families, particularly when the targets are fathers during child custody battles. You might think that government employees would be exempt from this kind of abuse. This is far from the case. In our article Father Imprisoned 20 Years on Fake Child Sex Abuse Charges, we talked about the case of falsely accused former police officer Clyde Ray Spencer who was set up by his ex-wife and her police sergeant lover to go to prison for child sex abuse crimes which apparently never occurred.

In this article, we discuss the case of Jeremy Swanson, a target of governmental abuse who was an employee of a Canadian war history museum. As an award-winning museum curator well known in community for his work for the Canadian Museum of Civilization War Museum in Ottawa, Jeremy Swanson unsurprisingly also had a personal interest in historic antique firearms. His small collection of antique firearms and non-functioning replicas was legal, licensed, and securely stored with trigger locks in a safe with ammunition stored separately. He took a trip back to his homeland of South Africa, during which time his ex-wife, Susan Swanson (formerly Susan Scott), initiated a divorce and made false allegations against Jeremy Swanson involving his mental health and gun collection.

In my previous article How to Win Custody by Framing Your Ex for Child Sexual Abuse, I discussed how a significant number of malicious moms in divorce and child custody battles resort to framing their ex-husbands for child sexual abuse. While good mothers won’t stoop to such destructive stunts, malicious moms will often do this after the failure of other false allegations and attempts at parental alienation, harassing, and scaring their ex-husbands to gain sole custody of the children. This means that the defense against false child sexual abuse allegations must start long before the allegations are ever made as they are but one highly damaging step in a much longer escalating series of attacks.

The next time you hear somebody make a male-bashing comment about how women are always the victims of domestic violence at the hands of men, point out the case of 36-year-old Steve McNair. On July 4, 2009, the NFL football star who formerly played for the Houston Oilers, Baltimore Ravens, and Tennessee Titans teams was allegedly murdered while asleep by his 20-year-old girlfriend/lover Sahel “Jenni” Kazemi by four gunshots, two to the head and two to the chest. It appears Kazemi then turned the gun on herself in direct contact to her head.

In 2008, West Virginia Governor Joe Manchin signed into law House Bill 3065 that permits prosecutors to pursue misdemeanor criminal charges against people filing false child abuse reports. It also allows the victims of false child abuse reports to file for civil damages, even if criminal prosecution has not been pursued. Although the law is a step in the right direction, it does not go far enough.

Criminal Penalties

As a misdemeanor crime, the criminal penalties are rather weak, but are better than nothing. Perhaps they may be enough to keep a few malicious parents from making false accusations of child abuse during child custody battles.

California legislators have proposed an “audit” of two of the state’s most infamous family court systems, those in Marin County and Sacramento County. As reported by the Marin Independent Journal:

Prodded by Sen. Mark Leno and other lawmakers, the state Joint Legislative Audit Committee voted Wednesday to investigate the family courts in Marin and Sacramento counties.
The audit will focus on the use, and potential misuse, of court-appointed specialists in family-law disputes, such as mediators, investigators and therapists.

Critics say such appointees can form incestuous and incompetent networks more concerned with generating fees than helping children through painful custody fights.

“It becomes a service mill, a cottage industry of sorts,” Leno said in an interview Wednesday. “Maybe state law needs to be changed.”

As of July 4, 2009, California Assembly Member Jim Beall continues his attempt to deceive the public and satiate the blood-lust of his political supporters such as Nancy Lee Grahn who want immunity for mothers to abuse their children by parental alienation brainwashing. Even though Beall’s AB 612 bill to do this was gutted by other legislature members, he continues to represent that it says something it does not in an apparent attempt to maximize his political gain by deceit.

This article discusses how malicious mothers can frame fathers for child sexual abuse. It is based upon real cases. Malicious moms sometimes share this kind of information to help each other abuse their children and frame the fathers. Other times they or friends or family aligned with them work out these tactics on their own, especially if they have medical backgrounds. The first step to figuring out how to defend against this kind of malicious false accusation and the child abuse involved is knowing how these crimes are committed.

Accused spousal abuser Ellie Cunningham reportedly appeared in court on May 29, 2009. She’s scheduled to appear next on July 6 for her arraignment on charges of assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm with regards to her alleged attack on Adam Cunningham that we described in our previous article Canadian Wife Assaults Husband Who Later Dies.

New York Times has offered up further coverage of Borderline Personality Disorder in the mass media this month via their newspaper and web site. The newspaper published a story An Emotional Hair Trigger, Often Misread that is a basic overview of the personality disorder. Unfortunately, it seems that even a newspaper journalist can’t quite get the story straight. For instance, the article mischaracterized BPD as a “mood disorder” rather than a personality disorder. That inaccurately implies it is more like depression (which is a mood disorder) which can be treated fairly well in most patients using psychiatric medications, something that so far hasn’t been successful for many people with BPD.
