Not sure if you answer anything on this anymore but need assistance for a tween whose parent is a sociopath. There is a lot of self-help groups, support, therapy and literature for adults but none for children.
I’m seeking that for my child who needs answers but the adult books, although he is intelligent, too advanced to grasp nor helps currently how to survive, cope and overcome NOW – not when he’s an adult.
Any direction you can provide would be appreciated – working hard to ensure, validate and encourage self-esteem, confidence and self-worth now…no child should have to wait until they’re an adult for help from what they are enduring today. And no, the courts aren’t the answer – they are perpetuate or escalate the problem.
Thank you ~
