Alienating Mother Ordered to Pay $286,641.75 in Fines and Fees

June 18th, 2009 2 comments

Toronto residents K.D. and A.L. spent more than a decade battling over custody of their three children. Mother K.D. committed parental alienation child abuse against all three daughters starting at birth and continuing until present. Father A.L. was given sole custody of their children on January 2009. Subsequent court decisions have held K.D. liable for $286,641.75 in fines and legal fees due to her contempt of court and bad faith litigation.

The decision announced by Ontario Justice Faye McWatt in January 2009 was that an alienating parent can and will be stripped of child custody for repeated refusal to cooperate with court orders and relentlessly brainwashing the children to hate the other parent. Custody of their three daughters was transferred to their father who had spent more than a decade battling the alienating mother in court to attempt to remain a part of their daughters’ lives. Their mother is only permitted to spend time with them during psychotherapy. It appears it is the hope of the courts and their father that someday their mother will learn to behave reasonably and can become a part of her children’s lives again without continuing her destructive and abusive behaviors against the children.

F.R.A.M.E.D – Website for Family Rights

June 11th, 2009 No comments

While looking for updates on the Kate Hopkins child custody trial in Tennessee, I ran across an interesting website by a father in Georgia. He’s living near the area of Tennessee in which the Kate Hopkins trial is being held, as he mentions in this post.

His website is called F.R.A.M.E.D. which is short for Family Rights and Many Ending Discrimination. It appears he was victimized by the family law courts much as many fathers are. Originally, he was focused on “men ending discrimination” but over time has realized that it’s not just fathers but many parents and children who are harmed by the family law courts. Here’s his story in his own words as quoted from his website:

Richard Smulczewski Parental Alienation Case

April 14th, 2009 No comments

(Click here for more coverage on parental alienation.)

New York Firefighter Richard Smulczewski has two teenage daughters. His ex, Susan Smulczewski, committed parental alienation against their two daughters, brainwashing them into hating their father, and blocking access to the kids. She was found to be committing parental alienation by the courts and deemed an unfit mother. The court remanded custody of the daughters to their father. Yet the mother has refused to comply with court orders, continued to alienate their daughters against him, and continues to have custody.

Massachusetts Illegally Forcing Families to Pay for GALs

April 11th, 2009 No comments

Massachusetts family law courts routinely violate the state’s laws requiring the state to pay for Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) representation for children. The position of GAL is much like so-called “minor’s counsel” in many other states. Parties filling these roles are to look out for the interest of minor children by such actions as investigating abuse claims, working with psychotherapists to ensure that parents and children will receive treatment necessary for the well-being of the children, and other such tasks.

Fink vs. Charney

The recent web site and web advertising campaigns citing Los Angeles lawyer Keith Fink for various alleged misconducts, improprieties, and court sanctions appears to be part of an ongoing battle between Fink and American Apparel and its CEO Dov Charney. Fink has represented client Mary Nelson in a law suit against American Apparel alleging sexually harassing conduct by American Apparel and Dov Charney. The alleged harassment includes weird claims about how Charney conducted business meetings in the nude.

Holding Family Law Judges Accountable

Guess what group is among top of those showing contempt of court?

Family Law Judges!

Family law courts in the United States are a disgusting and abusive mess. While we can’t blame it all on the judges as many problems are caused by lying litigants, the judges are ultimately responsible for most of the problems. They should be upholding the law, ensuring that people’s rights are not violated, and requiring reasonable proof of allegations before they are acted upon. But in the United States today, that’s not the function of family law judges.

Australian Mother Commits International Child Abduction

February 19th, 2009 No comments
Update: Andrew Thompson was found on September 9, 2010. Please see Parental Abductor Melinda Thompson Arrested in Amsterdam for more information.

Melinda Stratton of Sydney, Australia, has abducted her 4 year old son Andrew Thompson and fled Australia to go into hiding. She was unhappy her son was seeing his father at all even in supervised visitation because she claimed he was an unfit parent. She made allegations against him that were investigated and dismissed, making this look like yet another case of a parental alienator bent on using any means to prevent a child from having contact with the other parent.

Stratton fled to Germany with Andrew in April 2008. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

On January 15, 2009, she recently wrote a letter stating that she claims “the appalling failure of the Family Law Court and Child Protection Services” is why she’s run away with the child. She claims that he’s an unfit father because of depression and anxiety. He denies that he suffers from these mental illnesses. Even if he did, depression and anxiety are very common especially during divorce and hardly justify a parent being judged as unfit unless they are unusually severe.

Courts and Illinois Woman Steal Daughter from Father

February 18th, 2009 2 comments

Krystal Fulton gave birth to daughter Aubrey on June 16, 2006. She lied to her baby’s father, Ralph Lowery Jr., telling him that the baby was still born. She lied to the hospital, an adoption agency, and an Illinois court, filling out forms claiming she did not know who the father was.

William Stoneking’s Blog on Family Court Violence & Corruption

January 7th, 2009 2 comments

Those of you who found the posts on William Stoneking’s ongoing problems (click here to see them all) at the hands of the Missouri family law courts may be interested to know that Mr. Stoneking has a blog documenting his continuing battles to see his daughter Alexis. After re-establishing contact with Alexis for a while, his ex has yet again blocked his access. As of January 2009, he hasn’t seen or talked with his daughter in about 6 months. His ex, Shirley Anne Lincoln, is apparently in violation of the custody orders that Alexis should have spent summer 2008 in Illinois with her father.

This case is apparently full of problems with parental alienation, violation of court orders, perjury, and other problems associated with high-conflict divorces involving child custody. If you’re going through such an experience, Mr. Stoneking’s thoughts may be useful to you.

Alleged Family Court Abuses by Missouri Judge Kathryn Davis

January 5th, 2009 30 comments

This is part of William Stoneking’s story that he posted after learning that Judge Kathryn Elizabeth Davis was promoted to circuit court by Missouri Governor Matt Blunt, ignoring her clearly demonstrated misconduct and poor judgement that should disqualify her from being a judge. He cites not only his own experience, but that of multiple others including some people who have died as a result. For instance, Thadd Mize was allegedly murdered by his ex-wife’s father Jimmy Williams and mother Brenda Williams after Judge Davis refused him an Order of Protection (Restraining Order in many other states) to protect him from his ex-wife and her father. In another example, Shawn O’Banion apparently committed suicide due to the alleged abuses of his ex-wife and Judge Kathryn Davis by blocking him from access to his children.

It is much easier to read here, plus links have been added to readily order Mr. Stoneking’s book if you want to read more. The site above, however, has continued to accumulate comments of people who are fed up with the abuse of Judge Kathryn Davis.
